There will be lots of opportunity to get volunteer hours time and Stroke and Turn officiating. Since we are bringing 50 swimmers we may need to time two lanes for a total of four timers each time slot for morning and afternoon sessions. Please be available to time.
- We will not be going to the Astoria meet (March 3-4) due to they change the meet date to April during another meet we already have scheduled. I am hoping to add another meet March 10-11 to replace the Astoria meet.

We are a go today for the Fun Swim and Potluck. We will have the Fun Swim from 4-5:30 and then the Potluck in the mall area by the vending machines from 5:30-7. Parents, friends and other family members are more than welcome to swim tonight. If you are bringing something that needs to be chilled, the frig in the issue room is available. Please bring either a salad, main dish, bread or desert and a drink for yourself. I will bring paper plates and eating utensils. We will have some fun games during the potluck also. This includes the parents too.
- 10/29 Practice on Saturday will be at the LOHS pool again this weekend. Due to the low attendance last week we will be combining practices.

10/30 Practice on Sunday will be a diving practice to work on block starts and relay exchanges. 12:00pm - 1:30pm LOHS pool
- 10/31 We will be having practice on Halloween. We have a tradition of having Trick or Treat sets. We are asking the kids to come up with a Trick set or a Treat set. We put all the tricks and treats in a hat and pull them out. If it is a treat, it is an easy set. if it is a trick , it will be a hard set.
If you don't plan on coming to practice this day please try to add the Sat or Sunday practice.

- Dec 17 Canby Animal meet and Animal Jr meet- 12 & U (100 fly, 200 IM, 500 Free) - 13 & O (200 Fly, 400 IM, 1000 Free)
- We are still in need of locker room monitors. Especially on the boys side. Make sure you sign in at the issue room. Remember this also counts as volunteer hours.
- I will be taking an order for snorkels for AG2/ SP/S. Coach Amy would like the 10yo and older in her group to have one also. If we can get a group order of about 15 we can get a discount. The fee will be somewhere around $35 depending on the quantity. I would need to know by need 11/2.
- Volunteer hours needed? We need the following?:
- Social coordinator- plan semi monthly team gatherings
- New bulletin board designed- board for PCC and LOHS pools
- New Member Welcome Coordinator- welcome new families and help with questions about team, practice and meets

The PCC pool will be holding a Lifeguard Training class these next two weekends so our practice time will be modified.
- Friday Oct 21 and 28, we can only use the pool til 5:30pm
- PST normal 4-5
- AG1 4-5:30 only option DL 5-5:30

- Saturday Oct 22 and 29, at the LOHS Pool

I am hoping to have Friday Oct 28 a Fun Day with games and open swim for everyone with a Pot Luck afterwards. I will confirm if we can have the Pot Luck in the Lounge area again.

- I know some kids have to be at school at different times- If they can get in for an hour that would be great.
I strongly suggest those going to the CAT meet next weekend to swim both these mornings.

- Hi All,
I am sorry to say the heater is still not fixed and I'm not sure when it will be repaired. The aquatics director is not sure how long it will be before it is fixed. It was on last Friday but it went off again. This is giving me a headache wondering if the heater is going to be fixed day to day. I know it is not fun swimming in this cold of water. The dryland is great but the water time is really needed. I don't plan on paying for another pool as attendance has been so low at the current practices so I am going to cancel practice for the rest of the week. I encourage the kids to stay active and not sit around all day. I did an hour 15 of yoga by Bob Harper from the Biggest Looser off a DVD. Holy Cow! I will be hurting tomorrow. I know some kids have Wii or Kinect or some other sort of games they can do from the TV. I also know the Comcast has an On Demand Exercise TV that have some great workouts.
I will be giving a one week credit for this week to your bills due to the cancellation. WE will have to cancel the Stroke Clinics too this week. If for some reason the heater fairies get it fixed and up to par I will let you know.

- Dive Clinic at the LO Pool on Thur Nov 11 from 11:30-12:30.
The fee will be $15 per swimmer for the hour. We will have a 15min warm up and work on block starts for all strokes and relay exchanges.
Please let me know if you would like to attend.
If we have more than (8) swimmers than I will have another coach to help.

- There will be no practice Sat Oct 9th due to the swim meet.
If you are not attending the meet you may swim on your own at PCC between 11:30-2:30.
